COMMEMORATE & CONNECT
The September 11th National Memorial Trail is a multi-use route linking the nation's three 9/11 commemorative sites at the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and the Flight 93 Memorial while celebrating freedom, resilience, and history throughout the communities along its 1,300 miles. (911trail.org)
Somerset County hosts an important connection along the way, taking riders from the Great Allegheny Passage at Garrett north to the Flight 93 National Memorial outside Shanksville and onward to New York City. Construction has begun on the connector at Garrett and volunteers from SCRTA will be involved along the way.
